Arrecifes

The Colombian Caribbean inspires Arrecifes. Changing countries made me rediscover many things about myself, mainly my passion for cooking. I arrived in Canada with my daughter in 2019, and my whole family stayed in Colombia; when cooking, I can come home and remember my mom’s and dad’s recipes and those typical “paseos de olla.” I was born in a land of many colours, flavours and human warmth, where countless experiences and seasonings are lived to the sound of dances.

Cooking at home has allowed me to travel back in time, reliving flavours, smells and textures, because at the end of each meal, the heart of those who taste such exquisite dishes is also fed. Arrecifes are then longing, colourful smells and flavours; Guajiras, Caribbean and Colombian recipes that will make you want to be part of them because, amid proximity and distance, they invite you to their table.
